Role and background

In my role as Senior UX Designer at Verizon, I was a member of the Buy Team, just one part of the larger Verizon Design organization. We were responsible for the checkout flows that enabled millions of customers, both new and existing, to purchase phones, service plans, and add-ons like device protection and streaming services. Once customers moved from browsing to buying, we took over ownership. This included cart, payment, user profile, delivery, and confirmation screens.

Working within one of the largest telecom companies in the United States required close collaboration with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and business stakeholders across international teams. It also involved the extensive use of the Verizon Design System to deliver consistent, scalable experiences.
